Christine and Steve: Part 3, The Reception

I mentioned in an earlier post what an amazing job Christine and Steve did planning their wedding not only in just a matter of months but from across the country!! I honestly don’t know how they did it, but boy did they do it well!

The reception was at the rustic and beautiful Webb Barn in Wethersfield. I love this place. They were blessed with perfect weather so their guests were free to wander in and around the barn all night long. The band you see pictured in the top left just blew me away. For real. They are Tubaskinny and they were the perfect fit for the laid back, vintage feel that Christine and Steve were going for at their reception. Check them out on youtube–not the best quality video but you get an awesome feel for their music and style.

Inside the barn was beautiful. And they personalized it with tons of photos strung along the walls all around the barn. Lots of twinkly lights and candles made for a wonderful, warm glow.

The flowers were gorgeous. They were done by Marzi Florist. Christine had different bouquets for each of her girls. Gorgeous color! (Photo credit to Julia for the bottom shot of them all lined up on the bench.)

The rings. Julia and I had lots of fun playing with ideas since there were so many cool, rustic spots to work in. I have to give credit, again, to Julia. The last image is mine but it was ALL her idea. Brilliant!

This next series is from the Best Man’s Toast. The best man was Steve’s brother Matt. His was probably one of the most entertaining and touching toasts I’ve seen to date. In the 3rd shot if you’re wondering where Steve went, he’s there but with his head down on the table from laughing so hard. Something about an old childhood fear and Brian Dennehy. I’d love to hear the story behind that one! Matt ended on a sweet note and there was barely a dry eye in the house.

Christine and Steve–thank you again for allowing me the honor to photograph your amazing wedding. You two are such wonderful and warm people. I had an awesome time, as did all of your friends and family. Congratulations!!
