WARNING: Get comfortable–this is a long one!
I have been dying to revisit Rachel and Gary’s wedding on the blog. I just loved everything about their day. Rachel and her girls got ready at a hotel but she and Gary opted to meet up before the ceremony for a First Look. They wanted to take advantage of the daylight since there would be little of it left after the ceremony. And they wanted to be able to really soak it all in. That moment when you first see your bride or your groom just takes your breath away. If it happens at the ceremony it is no less special but there is no time to really stop and stare, to hold each other and just relish the moment. Their wedding reception was at The Fox Hill Inn in Brookfield. We decided to meet there for the First Look and the formals. I love this next shot. Rachel stands out front as Gary steps outside for his first glimpse.
Rachel’s Dad has a gorgeous old Studebaker. It definitely made for a good prop!
Rachel and her girls looked so beautiful:
Gary and his guys. Gotta get the car in there, right?
Here are some of Rachel and Gary’s details. I loved their colors and the elegant simplicity of their details. Rachel actually works with Talia and Lindsay of Sixpence For Your Shoe so I knew her details would be stunning. The flowers pictures below are by Just For You–just gorgeous. I loved the look of the red tea lights in the windows at the Meeting House where the ceremony was held, and the programs were in a matching red with such a classic and pretty design.
Let’s get to the ceremony! Rachel and Gary were married at the Newtown Meeting House.
What a charming historic building for a winter wedding. So pretty!

Love the moment when the groom sees his bride at the end of the aisle.
Gary and Rachel wrote their own vows. So moving. It can be hard to focus your camera when you’re fighting back tears! The judge who married them was an old friend of Gary’s from years ago. He did an amazing job.

Rachel's brother and sister did a reading together. Love this shot.
There was a sand ceremony. I love these. I love how beautiful the sand looks once they combine the colors and I love that they have an object from their ceremony to keep as a memento.

Love funny ring moments! Rachel is determined to get that ring on!
