Alan and Patty’s wedding was perfect. The church was perfect, the mansion where they held their reception was amazing–and the weather was, you guessed it, perfect! What a day. I had the talented company of Julia from Salty Grapes along to help me shoot and we had a wonderful time. Here are some highlights from their blessed day:
These first two shots are Julia’s and are a perfect example of why having a second shooter is so important. While I wait at the front of the church for the ceremony to begin, Julia is the Master at sneaking these wonderful little moments:

Their junior bridesmaid watches as Patty arrives just outside the church's doors.

Handsome little ring bearer also waiting patiently for things to begin. He did such a great job!

Alan watches as Patty walks down the aisle. His son, the Best Man, is on his left.
The ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wethersfield.

The church was so pretty.

This flower girl was just too sweet. She took her job very seriously and here you see her concentrating as Alan and Patty listen to their Pastor.

The ringbearer was just adorable to watch throughout the ceremony.

Alan smiles as he watches his grandson, the aforementioned ringbearer, hamming it up for his Mom back in the pews.

I love this shot of Alan's mother holding the program.

I couldn't resist. He was too cute!

A quiet moment shared during the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs!!
There was lots of hugging and congratulating once they exited the church.

Above, another great capture by Miss Julia. It's fun to see what she sees from another angle.
We headed from the church just around the corner to the Silas W. Robbins House for their reception. Incredible.
The inside is every bit as breathtaking as the outside. The owners spent 6 years completely restoring this historic home back to its original grandeur. It is like a museum inside. Julia and I were just blown away by all of the details and antiques on display.
Some of my favorites of the happy couple:
Alan and Patty–congratulations! And thank you so much for such a wonderful day. I wish you both many years of love and happiness…
