A couple of weeks back I got to reconnect with an old friend I hadn’t seen in, like, 15 years! Mandy and I worked together one summer when I was fresh out of college and she was still in high school. We hit it off then but lost touch after that summer. It turns out she is now close friends with several people I grew up with so we recently reconnected and she asked me to capture photos of her adorable kids, Jack and Liam. Lucky for me, the whole family is gorgeous. Unlucky for Liam–he had a raging double ear-infection and the whole affair was a bit much for him. Poor little guy. But I still managed to grab some great shots when he wasn’t rolling on the ground in pain. 🙁
Mandy has been extremely patient waiting for these images so to please her I am going to post a bunch! How can I not? Her kids are too cute!

Little Liam. Can you stand it? He is so sweet.

Sweet Jack. So proud of his Lightening McQueen bike.
We spent a good chunk of time playing in the backyard. It is hard to believe we had sun at all this spring, but it was nice and bright that day!

The Family Dog. Isn't she beautiful?

One more because I can't help it.

Jack is such a charmer. He was totally my buddy. Love him!
After playing a while, Liam was ready for a bottle and a nap. Here he waits for his bottle. I like how this shot captures a real moment in a busy family’s life.
I followed them upstairs to grab these sweet moments:
We tiptoed back downstairs to let Liam rest and I hung out with Jack some more in the shade of their front yard.

Love this interaction between Mommy and son.

Jack--you are perfect. Thank you!

I love this moment--Mandy and Jack sharing a laugh.

Meanwhile, I tiptoed back inside to steal some shots of Jack in his crib. Sleeping babies just take my breath away…
The last few I managed to get of Liam before The Meltdown:

Could he be any cuter? Um, no.
And, The Meltdown:

He was so sad and in so much pain. Try as we might to entertain and dazzle him, he was done.

Jack worked hard a beautiful picture while his brother napped. He even let me take it home!

Love the little boy hand.
Let me end with a favorite from the day. (The color version is above but I couldn’t decide which I liked better so I included them both!)
Mandy and Lou–thanks so much for having me! I had a great time hanging out with you all. Your boys are adorable beyond description. You are very blessed. Mandy–it is so nice to be in touch again! You are a beautiful mother…so happy for you.
