I work closely with clients before, during, and after their session to be sure we capture beautiful images and create custom products they will be proud to display. My focus is on capturing emotion and relationships so my style is neither formal nor overly-posed. My favorite sessions to photograph are outdoor and in-home sessions where families are free to play games, read books, cook, make messes, snuggle--anything goes! The focus is on making memories and documenting what it feels like at this stage in your family's life.
I think the tactile memories I have of sifting through old printed photographs as a child is one reason I spend extra time with my clients to help them complete the process of having professional photographs not just taken, but also printed and displayed. I have suffered some difficult losses and know firsthand how valuable photographs are. There is no possession in my home that matters more to me than the photographs I have of loved ones. I worry that one downside of digital photography is how rarely our photographs make it from our phones and hard drives to our coffee tables and walls. This is largely what motivates me to see my work printed and cherished by my clients.
